Main uses: separation of metal ions from tungsten and electrolytic manganese products
Molecular formula: (NH4) 2S effective sulfur content: ≥ 8% Property: colorless. It is alkaline. In electrolytic manganese, it has the effect of removing impurities and has a solution of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia odor. After deep cooling (-18 ºC), colorless crystals precipitate. Easily soluble in cold water, ammonia, and ethanol. It decomposes when exposed to hot water.
The industrial product Ammonium sulfide is a colorless solution. Produced by reacting hydrogen sulfide with ammonia water. It can also be prepared by heating Sodium hydrosulfide solution, ammonium sulfate solution and ammonia water.
It is used as Photographic developer, denitration agent for nitrocellulose, chemical analysis reagent, and regeneration agent for coloring bronze and brass and desulfurization of activated carbon in synthetic ammonia production. It is used to remove nonferrous metal ions in the production of tungsten and electrolytic manganese products, as well as Photographic developer, denitration agent of nitrocellulose, chemical analysis reagent, and regeneration agent after desulfurization of activated carbon in the coloring of bronze and brass and production of synthetic ammonia.
