Product Description

White crystalline or granular powder. Melting point 146 ºC (anhydrous), 83 ºC (monohydrate), relative density 1.56 (18/4 ºC). Easy to dissolve in water, a saturated aqueous solution at room temperature contains 51.3% (by weight) glucose, slightly soluble in alcohols and propanols, insoluble in ethers. When a-glucose is dissolved in water, it can be partially converted into its isomer β - glucose, and the equilibrium mixture becomes a: β=37:63. The melting point of β - glucose is 148-155 ºC.
